Why Did I Choose Buffalo State
I chose Buffalo State because I wanted to have an on-campus experience while not being so far away from home. Buffalo State was the perfect school because be an environment that is different from where I’m from without a complete shell shock.
Favorite Spot On Campus
My favorite spot on campus is Argo Tea.
Most Memorable Experience
My most memorable experience on campus was having to navigate through my first orientation as an orientation leader (OL). It is one thing being a student in orientation but as an OL it was my responsibility to assure, assist and guide my students through Buffalo State. This experience pushed me out of my comfort zone; by challenging my leadership and communication skills.
Long Term Goal After Graduation
After I graduate, I plan on attending I plan on attending law school. I passionate about immigration law. In my career I want to work with immigrants through their quest for the “American dream.” As well as be an advocate for immigration reform and against “anti-immigrant” rhetoric.
Advice to Incoming Freshman
The best advice I would give to an incoming freshman is your attitude will impact your experience at Buffalo State. The worst thing you can do during your first year is to stay in your room. So do not be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, and be active on campus. Most importantly surround yourself with people that are positive, college can be difficult you need a strong support system.
